Carriage of goods: with a maximum consideration of customers ' needs
Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Sauat Mynbayev held an extended meeting with the heads of railway departments of Semey branch of the road.
During the meeting, the issues of improving the efficiency and safety of transport, the results of work for 2018, plans for the current year, the creation of conditions in the region for the growth of cargo traffic were discussed.
As reported by the Director of Semey branch Marlen Kokrekbayev, the volume of loading in 2018 amounted to 11 million tons, which is 1.4 million tons higher than in 2017. The increase was achieved by loading coal, non-ferrous ore, building materials, cement and industrial raw materials. Last year, the loading of goods for export increased by 36.5%. Mainly, coal, flour, grain, timber cargoes were exported. This year it is planned to load 12 million tons, including 9 million tons of coal, 500 thousand tons of non-ferrous ore.
What measures are being taken in the region to improve the state of the track, signaling and communication, energy supply, informed the Director of Semey branch of the backbone network Aidyn Shaukezhanov. He noted that the Department annually develops measures to improve the railway infrastructure in the region. For the current year, it is planned to overhaul more than 34 km of the road, as well as a metal bridge across the Irtysh river in Semey. In the priority direction - the Degelen – Semey-Ayagoz – Aktogay section, the wooden base will be completely replaced with reinforced concrete in the coming years, which will increase the speed of trains.
Dauren Bimov, General Director of "Kaztemirtrans" JSC, also spoke at the meeting. He reported on the ongoing work to improve the technical condition of the car fleet, the provision of services to the operator of cars and transport expedition. Involvement of cars of "Kaztemirtrans" JSC at the Department since the beginning of this year amounted to 70% of the total load.
"We need to fully meet the demand for transportation, to ensure a high level of transport needs of shippers, to improve the transportation process, to reduce downtime of cars at stations. It is necessary to increase the level of customer focus", - said Sauat Mynbayev.
As part of the working trip, S. Mynbayev got acquainted with the activities of a number of railway enterprises – Semey station, operational locomotive depot.
